Dawes Point, fog signal and navigation light

This fog signal and navigation light is located at Dawes Point, close to the southern pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and across Circular Quay from the Sydney Opera HouseIt was built in 1906 and rebuilt in 1948 to provide warnings to shipping on Sydney Harbour.

  16. The Opera House is one of your fair city's unmistakable landmarks. Surrounded by blue in this photo, its white "sails" really stand out!
