St Mary's Cathedral, Saint Mary of the Cross

This sculpture of Saint Mary of the Cross and two children is located along College Street, at the Hyde Park entrance of St Mary's Cathedral. Mary MacKillop was canonised in Rome in 2010 as Australia's first saint. This bronze statue on a granite plinth, created by Louis Laumen, was unveiled here a week later.

  4. What a phenomenal woman with her blue eyes and determination. Very inspirational, and I think the artist captured her spirit. Your framing effort is outstanding!
