«Louis» would like to visit Sydney and see in person the sites you post on your blog, particularly the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. He wonders how the acoustics are in the opera house. In his experience, many spectacular modern structures for music (whether churches, concert halls or opera houses) have horrible acoustics.
It's a controversial topic because the same has been said about the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House, especially since they didn't follow the original plans of the designer.
I feel so sorry for Utzon. He wasn't present at the royal opening nor was he acknowledged during the speeches, yet this architect single handedly gave Sydney its most recognisable and unique symbol.
a different view of the opera. :)
