Randwick, St Jude's Anglican Church

St Jude's Anglican Church is located along Avoca Street, in the eastern suburb of Randwick. This heritage listed church was designed by either Simeon Pearce or Edmund Blacket and built in 1865 in the Victorian Gothic architectural style.

  6. For sure, this is the true English Anglican styled church - there are even a few around here (Connecticut) with the same styling, real olde world. A classic!

    1. It was built on land owned by Simeon Pearce and it is thought it was probably designed by himself. Edmund Blacket is thought to have designed the internal fittings and was associated with some latter aspects of the building.

  11. Lots of additions over time to that church. It looks like it will last awhile.

    1. Yes, they have extended the church a number of times but they have always been sympathetic additions.
