St Giles Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Park Road and MacMahon Street, in the southern suburb of Hurstville. This heritage listed church was built in 1955 in the Post-war Ecclesiastical architectural style.
An almost abstract style of this church! Red brick is my favorite (because in Holland all houses were built in red brick when I grew up). See you soon at SEASONS - thanks for visiting me at my regular blog:)
This beautiful church is one year older than me. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely old church Jim. Presbyterian churches these days seem to be smaller and quite plain.
ReplyDeleteToday I'm enthralled by the shadows under the cars!
ReplyDeleteNice - I love all your brick buildings.

ReplyDeleteThe architecture would not be out of place here.
ReplyDeleteNeat shadow shot and building ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week ahead ~ ^_^

Greetings from Poland.

Love the brick work - nice church.
ReplyDeleteNice looking church, thought it looked post war
ReplyDelete...it's interesting that a church built in 1955 would be heritage listed.
ReplyDeleteI hope there's a lot of bell-ringing going on up there in the tower.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if that happens at all these days because it seems like all bell towers have been silenced in the suburbs.
DeleteSometimes it's strange to look at church like this. There is tower, but no spire! It's pretty architecture anyway. And good shot.
