This former Salvation Army Hall is located on Ramsay Street, in the inner west suburb of Haberfield. The hall was built in 1914 as a place of worship for the Salvation Army. The hall has been restored and now houses a fruit market.
We have an old Sallie hall in Paddo which has been converted into a solicitor's office. I will try to get a shot over the weekend. Too many cars during the week.
I love this whole market area! I'm not much of a shopper, but this place could make it fun.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading about cities, towns, villages that recycle and repurpose their old buildings

Julie, it certainly does remind you of a gingerbread house.
ReplyDeletePeter, there are many recycled buildings in the inner west and sometimes their use seems odd but often it works well.
What a quaint house! I like this.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the thumbnail of this image I knew instantly it was an old Salvation Army Hall. I have a long Salvo heritage.
