Beverley Park, Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a historic house on the corner of Princes Highway and Lacey Street, in the southern suburb of Beverley Park. This sandstone mansion was built around 1860 and was originally part of an 178 acre property. It has been used as a school and a boarding house but in recent years has became a private residence again and was restored.

  1. A grand old house with hints of the Queenslander style! The upper circling verandah gave me that impression! And a delightful play of shadows round it!

    1. I think it is a beautiful design too and the afternoon sun on the trees provide shade and cast some great shadows.

  5. Nicely restored, by the look of it. Restoration that makes things look new doesn't work terribly well, in my opinion
