Millers Point, The Paddock

Pottinger Park, affectionately known as 'The Paddock', is located along Pottinger Street,  in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. This small laneway leads up to Downshire Street and Windmill Street. This was originally a foreshore reserve, since the Walsh Bay wharves and Hickson Road, below Pottonger Street were built on reclaimed land.

  1. This is a fine look at the past, where stone lined the streets instead of asphalt - very nice...although my wheelchair might disagree with the fancy stonework :)

  9. Beautiful shot, Jim. And doesn’t it make today’s McMansion-based living environments look tragic?

  10. Street lamp casts a lovely shadow...somehow reminds me of a sundial.

  11. I wonder who has walked across those stones? The shadow falls across them without concern. Today is today. Great image to ponder over.

  13. Very nice shot. Love the long tall shadow. We have two brick roads left in Stanwood. From a time gone by. MB
