The entrance to "The Ultimo", a boutique hotel along Ultimo Road, in the inner city suburb of Haymarket. This heritage listed building was designed by George McRae and built in 1910 in the Federation Free architectural style. It was a purpose built market stores building opposite Paddy's Market, originally the vegetable market.

My eyes are drawn to the big window on the bottom floor. I'd like to see what's inside.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I've provided a link to the hotel's website so you can have a look at some of the photos from inside the building.
DeleteOpening a market stores building opposite Paddy's Market would have been very sensible. I am glad the building survived.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful hotel and beautiful sunshine !
