A late afternoon view across Johnstons Bay, in the inner west suburb of Pyrmont. The "Mari Nawi" is a boat which was repaired and refurbished in 2018 by Tribal Warrior, a not-for-profit community organisation initiated and directed by Aboriginal people with Aboriginal Elders. It operates cruises on Sydney Harbour and is picking up passengers here from the wharf at Pirrama Park. The Elizabeth is an apartment building in the former office block for CSR Limited, joined by new apartment blocks along the foreshore.

Excellent perspective!
ReplyDeleteVery Beautiful
ReplyDeleteI didn't know boats went there. Where do you go to? or come from?
ReplyDeleteLydia, it operates cruises on Sydney Harbour. I've added some more info and links.
DeleteGreat view in the warm light!!
ReplyDeleteA fine vessel and lovely harbor scene!
ReplyDeleteNice view of the bay with the boat in the late afternoon light.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute looking boat! They did a good job refurbishing it.
ReplyDeleteLove that in this view all the colors blend:) Would like to know more how the Aboriginal people fit with the Caucasian population, or do they live next to each other, with each their own culture and customs? Many thanks for sharing this endeavor of the repair of this boat with All Seasons! Have a great week, Jim!
ReplyDeleteYes, Jeanette. The Aboriginal people are part of the general population. There are places in outback Australia where the population is mainly Aboriginal.
DeleteWould so love to get back to Sydney! Such an incredible city!
