The Charlotte is a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1985 and is part of the fleet that operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Charlotte, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787. It's seen here making its way past the Sydney Opera House heading towards the Circular Quay ferry terminal. This view is from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

As a teenager, I thought the ferries were old fashioned and a bit primitive. Now I think they are perfect for scenic tourism.
ReplyDeleteIt stands out well in those waters.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun way to see the harbour. - Margy
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture. The ferry makes the photo so different from the usual shots of the Opera House.
