Darlinghurst,, St. Peter's Anglican Church

St. Peter's Anglican Church is located on the corner of Bourke Street and St Peters Street, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. This heritage listed church was designed by O. H. Lewis and built in 1867 in the Gothic Revival style.

Dudley House

Dudley House is a commercial building located along George Street which features Downtown Souvenirs on the ground floor and offices upstairs. Sydney Tower rises above. There are plans to redevelop the building but the National Trust has put in a submission to the City of Sydney to oppose the proposed demolition.

Bellevue Hill, Aspinall House, The Scots College (Theme Day: School)

Aspinall House is part of The Scots College, along Victoria Road, in the eastern suburb of Bellevue Hill. This heritage listed building was built in 1883 as St Killian's, a house for Judge Joshua Frey Josephson. It was converted to a boarding school house when Scots College moved to Bellevue Hill in 1895 and renamed after the first Principal Rev. Arthur Aspinall.

World Square, Lunar New Year, Rat

This fun sculpture has been installed in the World Square shopping centre for Lunar New Year to celebrate the Year of the Rat. ‘The Ratrobats’ are part of a troupe of eight, showing off their acrobatic skills, inspired by the ancient tradition of Chinese acrobats and performers.

Dulwich Hill. Dulwich Grove, light rail stop

The Dulwich Grove Light Rail Stop is located below New Canterbury Road, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. This stop is on the Central to Dulwich Hill line of the Sydney Light Rail Network. The shelters along this line feature perforated metal screen artwork by local artist Graham Chalcroft, inspired by native birds seen in the adjacent GreenWay bushcare site. A graffiti artist has also created some insect art on the building above.

This pontoon is at Kissing Point along the north shore of the Parramatta River, in the north western suburb of Putney. Rivendell School, formerly the Thomas Walker Convalescent Hospital, stands on the southern shore, in the western suburb of Concord West.

Petersham, shops

This row of shops is located on the corner of New Canterbury Road and Maria Street, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. The facade of the building features some surviving elements of decorative mouldings and floral imprints.

Petersham, Commercial Bank Company

The former Commercial Bank is located on the corner of New Canterbury Road and Livingstone Road, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. This heritage listed building was built in the Inter-war Functionalist style in 1915 for the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney. In 1981, following the merger of the CBC Bank and National Bank, it became a National Australia Bank branch. It is now part of an apartment development.

Petersham Town Hall

Petersham Town Hall is located on the corner of Crystal Street and Frederick Street, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. It was designed by Rudder & Grout and built in 1938 in the art deco and inter-war style. Marrickville Municipal Council was enlarged by merging with Petersham and St Peters councils in 1949 and this space is now used as a community hall and community centre.

Dulwich Hill, St Paul of the Cross, presbytery

The presbytery for the St Paul of the Cross Catholic church, is located on the corner of New Canterbury Road and Myra Road, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. It was built in 1911 as a one storey bungalow in the Federation style, adjacent to the church. The cottage was extended in 1937 with the addition of a second storey.

Ryde Bridge

A catamaran passes under Ryde Bridge, also known as Uhrs Point Bridge, carries Concord Road over the Parramatta River linking the northern suburb of Ryde with the inner west suburb of Rhodes. It comprises of a steel truss vertical-lift bridge (northbound) and a concrete fixed-span bridge (southbound).

Haberfield, Richard Memorial Garden

The Richard Stanton memorial sculpture is on a plinth, in the middle of Richard Stanton Memorial Garden in the inner west suburb of Haberfield. It was created to acknowledge the foresight of Richard Stanton, who created Australia's first 'Garden Suburb'. Marion light rail stop can be seen in the background.

The former St Paul of the Cross Catholic church, now the parish hall, is located along New Canterbury Road, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. It was built in 1909 in the Federation style beside the current church built in 1925 and has also served as a school.

Darling Harbour, Sydney Convention Centre, Sofitel Hotel and Harbourside

This view of the International Convention Centre Sydney and the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel, behind the Harbourside shopping centre at Darling Harbour, is from Pyrmont Bridge. A boardwalk runs beside the foreshore, in the harbour towards the Star of the Show Ferris Wheel.

This crane barge is moored in Darling Harbour at Barangaroo. It is being used in the construction of a new foreshore to the north of Barangaroo.

Martin Place, advertisement

This promotion in the middle of Martin Place was created by Remedy Kombucha, which is a fermented iced tea. Two colourful tents house a sideshow alley, an Australian term for the cluster of attractions at public events such as agricultural shows. They typically comprise of a variety of amusement rides, games, and concession booths, run by independent operators known as 'showies'. At Remedy Alley, they have knock down tin cans, the laughing clowns game, cannon blast and a whack-a-mole game.

The Waratah Mills Light Rail Stop is located at the end of Weston Street, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. This stop is on the Central to Dulwich Hill line of the Sydney Light Rail Network.

AGC sculpture

The AGC sculpture created by Tom Bass in 1963 in copper. It was commissioned by AGC (Australian Guarantee Corporation) Australia for AGC House, on the corner of Phillip Street and Hunter Street. When the building was demolished in 2002, the work was salvaged, restored and reinstalled into Deutsche Bank Place. It takes the form of a mechanical corporate tree in which the branches symbolise the various interests of AGC, as it existed in 1962. The two top branches represent the dominant lending arm and the supporting arm is insurance. These branches support a wheel that symbolises the automobile which was the first reason for hire purchase. At the base, there are two protective arms, similar to tree roots that signify the importance of security and stability.

St Paul of the Cross is a Catholic church located along New Canterbury Road, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. The church was designed by Austin Mackay and built in 1925 in the Romanesque Revival style.

Circular Quay, light rail stop

The Circular Quay Light Rail Stop is located at the northern end of the Central Business District on Alfred Street, between Pitt Street and Loftus Street, beside Circular Quay railway station. It is the final destination on the CBD and South East Light Rail service, which opened in December 2019. These trams will soon be departing for the eastern suburb of Randwick and Chalmers Street at Central railway station, at the southern end of the Central Business District.

Darling Harbour, Chinese Garden of Friendship, statue

This is one of two statues which stand outside the main entrance into the Chinese Garden of Friendship at Darling Harbour. The two imperial guardian lion (or shi) statues, one male and one female, protect the entrance.

Canterbury, pub

The Canterbury Hotel is located on the corner of Canterbury Road and Tincombe Street, in the inner west suburb of Canterbury. This heritage listed pub was designed by C. C. Ruwald and built in 1941. It was formerly known as the Hotel Canterbury and Inter War Hotel. The parapet with winged horses as decoration, reflects the proximity of Canterbury Racecourse.

This mural is on the side of the Nineteen43 cafe along Geeves Avenue, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. It was created by street artists Scott Nagy and Krimsone.

Sydney Town Hall is on the corner of Geoorge Street and Druitt Street. The heritage listed building was designed by John H. Wilson and completed in 1889 in the Grand Victorian Second Empire architectural style.

Bank of New South Wales

The former Bank of New South Wales Head Office is located on the corner of George Street and Wynyard Street, beside the former Commercial Banking Company Head Office, opposite Martin Place. It was designed by Robertson & Marks and completed in 1932 in the Inter-War Commercial Palazzo style. The bank changed its name to Westpac Banking Corporation in 1982 following the acquisition of the Commercial Bank of Australia. The ground floor is still a bank branch today but the office space above now houses the head office of software development company Atlassian.

Commercial Banking Company

The former Commercial Banking Company Head Office is located on the corner of George Street and Barrack Street, beside the former Bank of New South Wales Head Office, opposite Martin Place. It was designed by Kent & Massie and completed in 1925 in the Inter-War Commercial Palazzo style. The bank was acquired by the National Australia Bank in 1981 and later bank branches were consolidated so the ground floor became a Virgin Music Megastore and these days is a Burberry store.

Dolls Point, mural

This mosaic mural is on the side of the amenities building in Depena Reserve, in the southern suburb of Dolls Point. This is one of four murals created by Steven Vella in 2008. It depicts the view from the foreshore here across Botany Bay.The building was rebuilt in 2018 but the murals were saved. Others can be seen here, here and here.

Sydney Opera House, ferry

The Charlotte is a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1985 and is part of the fleet that operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Charlotte, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787. It's seen here making its way past the Sydney Opera House heading towards the Circular Quay ferry terminal. This view is from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

Martin Place, Lunar New Year, paifang

This paifang, also known as a pailou, is a traditional style of Chinese architectural arch or gateway structure which was installed in Martin Place, to celebrate the Sydney Lunar New Year Festival. Behind it, along George Street, are the former Commercial Banking Company Head Office now a Burberry store and the former Bank of New South Wales Head Office now a Westpac Bank branch.
