The wind has had an interesting effect on the growth of the pine trees in the southern suburb of Kyeemagh. They are located along Cook Park, beside Lady Robinsons Beach on Botany Bay. More trees in the park can be seen here.
These remind me of the pines that used to line Bondi Beach during the era when the trams trundled along Campbell Parade. They only grew on one side, the other side simply trying to survive the onslaught of salt.
i love trees that are weathered from the well, the weather. one of my favorite things in the world are bristlecone pines. trees are pretty hardy, i think these guys will be just fine :) thanks for the great photos!
Interesting! They almost don't look real.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. The trees looks like they want to go away from the beach :o)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day

ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that the wind is pushign the trees. Hopefully they will continue to grow. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteFrom where I come from, people use to say, that 'old trees don't allow anything/-one to bend them.'
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful Thursday.
Those are beautiful trees. Nature is a marvel.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my plants on the balcony... unfortunately it is true, all of them are crooked due to the wind.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, E
Ah, yes! The wind did something similar to «Louis's» hair - permanent wide part from the forehead to the crown o' 'is 'ead! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat place to observe any rise in sea level over the next fifty years!
