As it is snowing heavily outside right now, These photos have given me a little bit of sunshine and warmth. Thank you!
You range far and wide, Jim. I am in a much more contained area!It is a city that is built around water, isn't it. I know where this is, but had no idea that it existed - if you know what I mean.
Yeah I do Julie. I often think the same thing when I see some of your inner city suburb photos.
Perfect place for kayaking!
Really nice and quiet, and very green
wow,it lovely blogs.thanks for visiting my blogs
Nice and pastel, peaceful and warm. Unlike the snow I see outside!
I must re-iterate Julie's comment. When I lived in Sydney, I did not visit Monterey and was unaware of these waterways! Great shots!
Yes it is summer at you place and I fell like go swimming I am sitting here an freezing to cold now and not warm enough in our house for the moment, MB
Great shots of the ponds.
It must have been a lovely sound to hear, while standing ashore of these ponds. Please have a wonderful Wednesday.

Beautiful photos! as always! you are a born artist!
That's a lovely spot. We keep hearing of your drought, it looks like this spot still has water.
Great shots. Looks so quiet warm.
cool places especially in the morning. A warmth picture.
Beautiful shots. Thanks for stopping by!My WW
Good place for a boatride!
What a peaceful place to visit. Nice and quite!
That looks pretty, green and tranquil. I have never heard of that suburb.
Nice shot and fine colors:-)
Lovely to se the beautiful colour of the water on the first photo. Here in Sweden it´s snowing. I have been waiting on this. Now we are going to have a white Christmas. Have a nice day.
Oh they are beautiful shots. Happy watery Wednesday.
can´t help but wonder, where are the birds?
NatureFootstep, there are usually plenty around but for some reason I didn't see any at this time of day. A couple of weeks ago, I featured some shots from some nearby ponds at Rockdale and they were filled with many ducks and water birds.
The pond's name reminds me of the song by Simon & Garfunkel...
kRiZ cPEc, Scarborough Park was named for the English coastal town of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. The song Scarborough Fair was about the market that was in that town, so there is a link.
These are beautiful shots.I grew up in the area, but it's not a place to kayak people. These are storm canals and water run-off systems from gardens (hence the water despite the drought) and are only a few feet deep at any given time, and mostly filled with rubbish from careless idiots.I love Scarborough Park, don't get me wrong, but your talents as a photographer are quite extraordinary.
Thanks Amy. Many of the world's most beautiful waterways haven't been spared by some sort of pollution caused by humans.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
