The Sydney Mint Museum was another heritage building in Macquarie Street that featured Christmas Projections, the light show known as Macquarie Night Lights. A daytime view of the museum can be seen here.

I loved your light series. They are very pretty. The lights 'enhance' the architecture of the buildings.
ReplyDeleteYou have become quite good at photographing these buildings and the different colors! They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful and colourful. Love all your photos.
ReplyDeleteLove them, wouldn't it be great to have projected patterns on one wall at home... a feature wall...
ReplyDeleteGood morning. I'm glad you liked the pictures of the Rio - Antirio Bridge - I just wish you knew Greek so that you could also read through the technical details of its construction that I posted. Never mind though. I'm about to graduate as a Civil Engineer from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece and in my blog you'll find quite a lot stuff regarding buildings and structures in general (among other topics and issues). I liked your photoblog and I signed in as your follower. Hope we'll get to read each other's blogs from now on. Have a nice Christmas holiday (up here the weather is awful now, whereas in Australia is nice and shinny - you luckies). See ya!
ReplyDeleteLove the light series, it must really look cool in person too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw it, I thought it's a train, love the scene.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Great photos of creative holiday decor. I think we drove by this building, as I think it was just down the street from our hotel (the Intercontinental). But we went by in the day time and had no idea it was such a treat at night during the holidays when we were there last year.
ReplyDeleteWe did see a similar effect projected on to the front facade of the old cathedral in Zurich. I hope this trend catches on in other places too.
hello !!!
ReplyDeletefrom Greece
Happy new year
Dave, yes the Intercontinental is on Macquarie Street so you most likely did drive past these buildings. It's a shame you didn't know they were lit up at night for Christmas since you were here at that time of year. Next time. :)
