Ashfield, Yeo Park, bandstand

Yeo Park is located along Old Canterbury Road in the inner west suburb of Ashfield. This bandstand, which was built in 1929, stands in the middle of the park surrounded by a pond.

  1. it was freshly painted in the past few months. When I photographed it I was pulled up by the police and questioned and had my camera looked through as I was near 2 schools. He was happy to only see flowers, steps and the rotunda.

    1. That's bizarre. I once had that happen to me near a train station. They wanted me to show them ID and wrote down the details.

  2. Such a stylish bandstand. Love how plants are in raised bowls as part of the feature.

  3. This is a far fancier bandstand than I have encountered in the USA.

And, I read on the CDP portal that you have recently passed SEVEN years on this blog. That is remarkable. Congratulations!

  5. The band stand is beautifully detailed. So far no authorities have questioned my taking photos. I figure it will happen someday.
