Wolli Creek, Cahill Park

 
One of the entrances to Cahill Park, in the southern suburb of Wolli Creek. The shared footpath and bike track runs beside the Cooks River and the Bayside Council gateway sign is beside the Princes Highway with the palm trees in between.

Campsie, Orion Theatre

The former Orion Theatre is located along Beamish Street, in the south western suburb of Campsie. The cinema was built in 1936 in the art deco style and closed in 1959. It was purchased by Canterbury Council and served as a community market, public meeting hall, theatre rehearsal venue and migrant neighbourhood centre. It was restored in 1984 and became the Orion Function Centre.

Newtown, mural

This colourful flower mural has been painted on the facade of a plant nursery on the corner of Lennox Street and Australia Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. 'Plant Daddy' began as a business at local markets before opening this shop which specialises in indoor plants.

Earlwood, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church

This sculpture is in the grounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church along Homer Street, in the inner west suburb of Earlwood.

A bridge and a gabion retaining wall across a pond in Sydney Park, a large recreational area in the inner city suburb of Alexandria.

Pyrmont, wharf, sunset

A sunset view across Johnstons Bay to the Anzac Bridge and silos at Rozelle from the Pirrama Park wharf in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont. This bench in front of the 'pole garden' has the message on it "A harbour to hunt and fish", in reference to the activities of the indigenous Guarangi people who inhabited this site.

Milsons Point, restaurant

 
An abstract view of the North Sydney Olympic Pool, a swimming pool located along Alfred Street South, in the north shore suburb of Milsons Point. It was designed by architects Rudder & Grouts and built in 1936 in the Inter-War Free Classical style with art deco-style decorations. Aqua Dining is a restaurant with views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Waverley, L.E. King Building

The L.E. King Building, built in the Victorian style, is located along Birrell Street in the eastern suburb of Waverley. It is part of the Uniting War Memorial Hospital campus and now houses the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children. The original hospital building was the former home of the Vickery family who gifted the home and grounds to the Methodist Church for use as a private hospital in 1919. The church added to the site by acquiring adjacent properties. In 1977, the Methodist Church became part of the Uniting Church of Australia.

Dulwich Hill, sculpture

"Moonman" is a sculpture outside Dulwich Hill Public School in Kintore Street Reserve, which was created by Adam Galea in 2012. It is located on the corner of Hercules Street and Kintore Street, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. Because it is located near the primary school, the artist chose to create something based on the nursery rhyme 'The Sandman', which has a line about the man in the moon. He was inspired to create the moon man as a sentinel or guardian for the site, who serves as a beacon to soothe, protect and inspire those who wonder by.

Arncliffe, tunnel mural

 

Part of a mural on the wall of a pedestrian tunnel, under the railway line in the southern suburb of Arncliffe. Students at the nearby Al Zahra College provided drawings centred on the school's vision and purpose, which the artist used to create this thought provoking mural.

The Waratah Mills Light Rail Stop is located at the end of Weston Street, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. This stop is on the Central to Dulwich Hill line of the Sydney Light Rail Network.

Saint Mary McKillop Reserve

Saint Mary McKillop Reserve is located on the corner of Canterbury Road and Berna Street and beside the Cooks River, in the southwest suburb of Canterbury. This decorative entrance features a cross in the centre. Mary MacKillop was an Australian religious sister who was declared a saint by the Catholic Church, as St Mary of the Cross in 2010. She is the first Australian to be recognised by the Catholic Church as a saint.

Fedwood Timber Products is located along Balmain Road in the inner west suburb of Leichhardt. This factory and showroom supplies and creates timber products specialising in the Federation style.

Pitt Street Mall, mural

 This mural is on the facade of a currently unoccupied shop in the Mid City Centre along Pitt Street Mall, in the middle of the central business district. "Kongz island" was created by street artist Mulga who is Joel Moore.

Darling Point, sculpture

This sculpture of a platypus on a rock is found in the gardens of McKell Park, in the eastern suburb of Darling Point.

Aquarium Wharf, Ocean Dreaming 2

 
Ocean Dreaming 2 is a ferry which is used for cruising and whale watching. The indigenous artwork was created by Warwick Keen which utilises the dendroglyph technique and features the names of clans in and around Sydney Harbour. It's seen here at Aquarium Wharf in Darling Harbour, in front of Pyrmont Bridge.

Cockle Bay Wharf, boat

This colourful boat is moored at Darling Harbour Marina at Cockle Bay Wharf. The "Climate Action Now" project is designed not to focus on the problem but instead on actions we are taking or can be taking as individual towards a solution.

Cockle Bay Wharf, lighthouse

This lighthouse artwork has been installed behind the Dancing Brolgas fountain and in front of the Cockle Bay Wharf building at Darling Harbour. A temporary hashtag sign #lovecbw stands in front of the fountain.

Darling Harbour, sculpture

"Whales x 2" is a sculpture by Terrance Plowright which hangs above the escalators in the Cockle Bay Wharf building in Darling Harbour. The skeletal structure was carved in dense polyurethane foam, covered with a hard coat and coloured as per bone. The clear polycarbonate skin has stainless steel reinforcement and binding.

Queen Victoria Building, stained glass

This stained glass window sits above the George Street entrance of the Queen Victoria Building, viewed here from the second floor above the escalators.

Milsons Point, mural

 
This mural is located above the ticket box office in the Luna Park amusement park, in the north shore suburb of Milsons Point. The expressions of the people featured match the expression of the famous Luna Park face at the entrance.

This bench is located in Oatley Park, in the southern suburb of Oatley. Not a particularly remarkable bench but a great location amongst bushland overlooking Oatley Bay on the Georges River.

Lugarno Marina is on the Georges River, viewed from the boardwalk in the southern suburb of Lugarno. The houses on the opposite shore of the river are at Illawong.

Pyrmont, wharf, sunset

A sunset view across Johnstons Bay to the silos at Rozelle, from the Pirrama Park wharf, in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont. Some of the benches around the bay have messages on them such as "A people called Guarangi".

Kogarah, pub

 The Bank Tavern is on the corner of Belgrave Street and Post Office Lane in the southern suburb of Kogarah. It was built in the 1890s in the Victorian Italianate style as a branch of the Commonwealth Bank. When the bank relocated to a new branch in the 1980s it was redeveloped into Red Martins Nightclub before becoming a pub.

Tempe, anchor

 
This anchor monument was once located at Tempe Recreation Reserve, in the inner west suburb of Tempe. It stood beside a walkway along the foreshore of the Cooks River. If there was a plaque here explaining its history it had disappeared just like the anchor has now.

Elizabeth Bay, marina

These luxury boats are moored at the Elizabeth Bay Marina, located at the end of Ithaca Road in the eastern suburb of Elizabeth Bay. The harbourside mansion behind Beare Park can be seen here.

Millers Point, Dalgety's Bond Stores

The entrance to Dalgety's Bond Stores along Munn Street, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. The heritage-listed former warehouse complex was built in 1875 in the Free Classical style, providing storage space for the nearby shipyards. The steep fall of the site reveals three more storeys below, addressing Hickson Road adjacent to the wharf. The warehouses were redeveloped in the 1970s and are now used for commercial office space.

Sydney Opera House, Bennelong

 

This is one of the sails of the Sydney Opera House, which stands at the end of Bennelong Point, on the eastern side of Sydney Cove. The point was named after Bennelong, a senior man of the Eora, an Aboriginal Australian people of the Port Jackson area. He served as an interlocutor between the Eora and the British, in the colony of New South Wales. Bennelong Point was originally a small tidal island known as Bennelong Island at the end of a peninsula. From 1818 to 1821, the tidal area was filled with rocks excavated from the peninsula when suitable stone was cut for the construction of Fort Macquarie. This sail sits above the Bennelong restaurant which is near the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.

Botany Bay, navigation mark

 
A navigation mark is located at the end of a rock groyne in Botany Bay, in the southern suburb of Ramsgate Beach. The rock groyne is one of the sea walls along Lady Robinson Beach that have been built to protect the sandy foreshore. The clouds were beginning to clear after the rain.

Reiby Place, Patchwork of Light

 
"Patchwork of Light" is an artwork which was installed on the side of a building along Reiby Place in 2013. It consists of an array of ten brightly coloured light boxes emblazoned with figures and phrases in the Sydney indigenous language and English bringing Aboriginal, European, political and sporting histories to life. It was created by Lara Schnitger and was developed with Wiradjuri/Yuin elder Aunty Bronwyn Penrith, whose journey has been dedicated to reclaiming the culture of and respect for Aboriginal women. This sundial is located in the grounds of Santa Sabina College, a Catholic Dominican private school located along The Boulevarde, in the western suburb of Strathfield.

A First Fleet Class ferry departs from Balmain East ferry wharf, which sits at the end of Darling Street, in the inner west suburb of Balmain East. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is peeking above the wharf.

Eveleigh, pavilion

This public pavilion and sculptural landmark is located in the Village Square in the redeveloped former railway yards, in the inner city suburb of Eveleigh. The Interchange Pavilion was created by by University of Sydney lecturer, artist and sculptor Chris Fox in 2020. It draws inspiration from the precinct’s rail history combining over 250 metres of stainless steel ground rails, 15 tonnes of robotically moulded glass reinforced concrete and 1400 pieces of router cut hardwood. This material is supported by a 14 tonne structure made up of over 1650 pieces of digitally fabricated aluminium to create a 350 square-metre public art installation.

Lilyfield, TreeCycle

This sculpture is located along Canal Road beside Hawthorne Canal, in the inner west suburb of Lilyfield. "TreeCycle" was created by Graham Chalcroft in 2016 using recycled bicycle parts to form a tree canopy.

Marrickville, mural

This mural on the walls of a house on the corner of Renwick Street and Excelsior Street, in the inner west suburb of Marrickville. It features singer Prince and was painted in his memory in 2016, soon after his death.

Santa Sabina College is a Catholic Dominican private school located along The Boulevarde, in the western suburb of Strathfield. It was originally built in 1894 as the Santa Sabina Convent, designed by Sheerin and Hennessy in the Dutch Renaissance style.
